Primary Function
The Data Entry Associate is responsible for processing donations and ensuring timely acknowledgement, maintaining donor records with high standards of data integrity and contributing to the success of CAPA and its shared fundraising services. This individual is detail-oriented and understands the importance of effective data management in strengthening connections with donors and patrons. This position is expected to work around 20 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
Process gift entry for CAPA and our development shared service partners and monthly reconciliation with finance.
Maintain donor records (names, contact information, affiliations, account structure) and oversee production of acknowledgement letters (pulling weekly lists, verifying accuracy of data entry, merging letters filing electronic copies of correspondence, processing mail in timely fashion).
Maintain hard copy and electronic filing systems of donor communication.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Attention to accuracy and detail at all levels required.
Strong organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
Excellent verbal communication skills
Familiarity with ticketing and development areas
Credentials and Experience
Experience with data entry and customer relational databases (preferably Tessitura).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including minimum of two years of experience with Microsoft Excel.
Associates degree, bachelor’s degree or 1-2 years professional experience in an office setting.
